Learn about the history of music this September as the Recreation Centers of Sun City West, along with Rhythm Edition, are pleased to present the Evolution of Music show!
This musical performance will take place Friday, Sept. 24 at the Palm Ridge Recreation Center. Showtime is 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 per person and go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 10, at the R.H. Johnson Box Office or online at suncitywest.com. Seating will be cabaret style. Water will be available for purchase.

Rhythm Edition
Does Rhythm Edition sound familiar? Well that is because they are a very popular and favorite dance band here in Sun City West. They have added a new show to their mix with a full 10-piece band including horns and nine lead singers.
They will take you back to the music of the ’40s and then you can enjoy the ride through different artists and styles of music all the way up to music of today.
There will be comedy skits, costume changes, audience participation, sing along, choreographed dancing and some great music you will enjoy on the way. It is a 90-minute Broadway show and is one performance like you have never seen before, you don’t want to miss this.
Various songs we will pay tribute to consist of: Glen Miller; the Andrews Sisters; Elvis; Beach Boys; Tina Turner; Neil Diamond; Sony and Cher; the Village People; Earth, Wind and Fire; Johnny Cash; Selena; Journey; Prince and Bruno Marz, plus other songs and artists in-between.

Spouse is severely challenged and requires the use of a mobility scooter and oxygen to get around. We would love to attend this concert. Will there be a special seating area that can accommodate those with scooters, wheel chairs, etc? Thank you for any information you are able to provide.
Hi Marie. The recommendation from our Events Department is that you choose one of the tables located on the perimeter of the seating area when purchasing your tickets. Afterwards, please contact the Events Department and let them know of your situation and they will be happy to make the proper accommodations for your table at the show. If you plan on purchasing your tickets online, you can contact the Events Department over the phone at 623-544-6093. If you plan on purchasing them in person at the box office, just let them know while making your purchase.

What time do tickets go on sale?

Tickets are already sold out same day they went on sale? Is there a limit to how many each member can purchase and is this concert for SCW residents only? Disappointed we can’t get tickets and would appreciate knowing what the process is. Thank you.
Hi Terri. For this show, there was a limit of six tickets per household. In total, 336 tickets were available for purchase. 187 tickets were online purchases while the remaining 149 were sold in person at the box office. Our online ticket sales currently allows for those outside the walls to purchase tickets, but we find that to hardly ever be an issue. For this event, our Events Department ran a report after ticket sales ended and found that only 4 of the 336 sold came from outside of Sun Ciy West.
What is the process for selling tickets to SCW shows? Is Corta Bella and Grand getting in line ahead of the member/owners of SCW?
