Enjoy the cool autumn evenings in Sun City West with great live music every Saturday at Beardsley Park during the month of October. The series begins Saturday, Oct. 1 with the Hispanic Heritage Fiesta show. The next following Saturdays will feature performances from musical acts such as Desert Winds Steel Orchestra, Johnny K & Kompany, HiFi Allstars and Southbound. Check out the time and date for each performer down below.
Tickets for each show are $7 per person, per show, and will go on sale at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16. Tickets can be purchased online or in person at the R.H. Johnson Box Office. Limit eight per rec card.
Update: On Tuesday, Aug. 16, the limit of four tickets per rec card was changed to eight tickets per rec card. This page has been updated to reflect the change.

2022 Concerts in the Park Performances
Hispanic Heritage Fiesta
Saturday, Oct. 1
The fun begins on Saturday, Oct. 1, with Hispanic Heritage Fiesta! Not only will this show kick off our Concerts in the Park series, it will also provide those in attendance a great way to experience the Hispanic culture with mariachis and Latin American dancing in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Club Español
A big thank you goes out to Club Español (Spanish Club), who is partnering with the Recreation Centers of Sun City West to present Hispanic Heritage Fiesta. Interested in learning more about the club or possibly joining? Stop by Ramada 10 during the event and speak with some of the club members! You can also learn more by visiting spanish.scwclubs.com.
During the show, the club will also be collecting donations for Valle Del Sol, a local charity focused on the needs of the Hispanic community here in the Phoenix Valley.

Mariachi Del Monte

If you’ve ever eaten at Rio Mirage Café on Friday evenings, then you have definitely heard the sounds of Mariachi Del Monte. The group has been playing together for over 30 years and are highly booked all over Arizona. They perform for any occasion and their sound will sure get you to sing along!

Marysol “Sunny” Ortiz
7:45 p.m. performance time
Marysol “Sunny” Ortiz, from El Mirage, Arizona, remembers her beginnings for her passion for music. At age five, she had her first performance on stage. From there, she continued singing and in 2016, she was in a singing reality television show called “Va Por Ti” English meaning “This One’s For You” which aired in US, Mexico and other Latin American countries. Marysol made it all the way to the semi-finals and was happy to have represented Arizona. She is the youngest of two siblings the support of her family is what has helped her achieve her goals. Fun Fact: Her mom makes her traditional mariachi outfits!
Today, Marysol continues to share her passion for music and is excited to sing at SCW!

Ballet Folklorico de Santa Maria
8 p.m. performance time
Ballet Folklorico de Santa Maria is a folklorico dance group from southwest Phoenix. The dance group was formed by Mr. David Carrillo on Dec. 12, 1981. Group is celebrating its 40th anniversary as a performing group. The dancers have entertained throughout the US, Mexico and Japan. The dancers have won 170 first place trophies in parade competitions. The dancers recently performed at Universal Studios and California Adventure. The group performs dances from different states of Mexico in beautiful, authentic, colorful costumes.

Desert Winds Steel Orchestra
Saturday, Oct. 8
What started as an 8 member steel band back in the fall of 1997, the Desert Winds Steel Orchestra has now grown to 15+ members who have discovered the joy of music making in an ensemble setting. This diverse group of members has not only grown in numbers, but in skill at a remarkable rate. Their repertoire includes Latin and pop songs and an array of island tunes that will create an atmosphere of pure joy regardless of the setting in which they are playing. Their appeal to audiences of all ages led them to be repeatedly invited to perform at Ak-Chin Pavilion, formerly known as Cricket Pavilion, to entertain the crowd of party-goers prior to performances by the immensely popular Jimmy Buffett, as well as the annual Rock-N-Roll Marathon in Phoenix.

Update: Due to the weather, Concert in the Park with Johnny K & Kompany has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m. Please hang on to your tickets as you’ll still need them for the rescheduled show.

Go back to a simpler time with some of your favorite oldies like Stand By Me and Unchained Melody, Rock! Johnny K and Kompany specializes in music from the 50’s 60’s and 70’s. Johnny K – vocals, Doc Rosinski – keyboards, Mike Miller – drums, Jim Elam – guitar, Doug Sawyer – bass.

HiFi Allstars
Saturday, Oct. 22
HiFi Allstars covers multiple genres, including rock, pop, funk, country and rap. They will bring the keys, the electric guitar, the drums, a violin and phenomenal vocal cords. Come and enjoy some great music!

Southbound
Saturday, Oct. 29
Southbound was formed in 2007 with the idea of being one of the most professional and entertaining bands around. Since then they have played concerts/venues all over Arizona and Mexico and have played with national acts such as The Lost Trailers, Hal Ketchum, Ned Ledoux, G. Love, Craig Campbell, and Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers. Southbound plays a mix of current and classic country favorites, as well as southern rock, classic rock and variety from artists like Keith Urban, Garth Brooks, George Strait, Jason Aldean and many more! Hi Mary. Ramada 2 at Beardsley Park is always sectioned off for ADA seating at any of our outdoor events. When you arrive at the concert, just let the volunteers at the entry gate know that you would like to sit there.

Hi Peggy. No glass containers or weapons of any kind are allowed. Items such as chairs, bags and coolers are ok to bring. If you are unsure about a certain item, you can always reach out to the RHJ Box Office at 623-544-6093 and they will be happy to answer any questions.
