Need Some Clarification Here
Went to read the text of HB2470 on your link and it stated to go to the second page which was not accessible on this site. How does one get
to read the content?
If the bill is defeated does that mean that one cannot park said vehicles on the street but they may be parked in one’s driveway?
Also, what is the percentage for a quorum for this vote and what are the numbers of voters required to establish this quorum
Mr. Fogerty, the content of HB2470 can be seen here: https://www.azleg.gov/legtext/56leg/2R/bills/HB2470P.pdf
If the Legislature does not pass it, we then live with the language in red that is struck through in the new bill. With that language, we have to have our vote prior to June 2025 (we are having ours this March). If a majority of a quorum votes in favor of retaining our current restrictions, then we can enforce the CC&RS as we are currently. If it fails, we can no longer do enforcement and residents will have to call Maricopa County if someone is parking an RV or oversized truck or commercial vehicle longer than the CC&Rs allow. We will continue to enforce CC&Rs as they relate to driveways. This law only changes the street situation. A quorum in our case is 1,000 voters.
What are the CC&Rs related to parking vehicles, etc in driveways at
the present time.

Second Time Around
What Is Your Comment and What Are You Going To Do About It
Have A General Question
At present, I am a member of the Metal and Wood Club.
In the IRS Covenants that govern these clubs, it is stated that the
club shall not be used for personal profit. The same statement is made in
the Clubs Rules and The Rec Ctr Rules. How do you justify establishing the
Pora Gallery to sell products made with the club’s resources and all the
facilities at the various clubs. This is a total violation of all policies
and a violation of all the covenants and laws that these clubs are
established under. Members of these clubs are continually using
club facilities and resources for their profit. Thus I do not see
how the Rec Ctr justifies this situation and allows members to violate
these laws and use the clubs to make a personal profit. In several instances, this is not just a hobby.. Some members have business cards and spreadsheets to keep track of their production. Other groups involve
multi members in their production.. This must cease. A club is a club,
not a place where one can make a profit and have the Rec Ctr and
other club members pay for their business.
Thank you for your comments Mr. Fogerty. The IRS prohibitions against personal profit and commercial production are the reasons we closed the Village Store. PORA is a separate entity and has their own rules and regulations that we do not get involved in. Artisans who sell for profit anywhere are subject to IRS rules and reporting – the onus is on the individual to report properly on their taxes. As for the Rec Centers, most of our clubs are 501c7s, as you stated, and they are required to follow the IRS rules. The RR&Ps also require the clubs to enforce prohibitions against mass-producing items for commercial purposes. Each club has different rules in their bylaws, but in general, this activity is prohibited. Anyone who is aware of a bylaw violation should bring that to the attention of the club board. If they do not find a satisfactory resolution, they can bring it to the Recreation Manager. Our Recreation Manager, Kasey, has reached out to you to get further information on your concerns. Please get in touch so we can resolve your concerns. Thank you.
What are the definitions of the stages listed in the CC&R’s section of the report…ie what does stage 1 mean? Stage 5?
