Start the new year off right with Music on the Green, the Rec Centers’ free music series that takes place at the R.H. Johnson Great Lawn. The Winter 2024 series begins on Wednesday, Jan. 10 and features a great musical lineup! Get your lawn chairs ready and join us for some great music.
Reminder that each show is free, no tickets are required. Shows will begin at 6 p.m. Make sure to bring a lawn chair for each show.

The Priscilla Rose Band is a four-piece group, based in the West Valley, who plays a variety of classic rock and pop tunes, guaranteed to help you dance the night away! Keyboardist and vocalist Priscilla Pinches grew up along the east coast and has been a piano and voice teacher for more than 40 years. She has performed at the White House under two Administrations. Guitarist and vocalist Rich La Rose grew up outside Syracuse, NY, and studied jazz composition and arranging in college. Bassist Fabian Cetrone hails from Motown and started his music career in the ‘60s. He played rhythm-and-blues bands in Detroit, Canada, and northern Ohio. He also worked with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Drummer and percussionist Dan Seabreeze is from the Seattle area. With more than 40 years experience, Seabreeze enjoys working with jazz and concert bands, pop groups, and chorales.

The Salty Dawgs are a Sun City Grand folk group that has been providing high energy entertainment for West Valley audiences for the past six years.

Pocket Inc. is a band newly formed in the west valley, consisting of Christine Novello (Vocals), Michael Myers (Vocals and Drums), Bill Wallace (Bass and Vocals), and Andrew Davenport (Guitar and Vocals). Pocket Inc. may be a new name, but you will recognize the members from popular bands including The Groove Therapy Band, Classic Attitude, Soul Groove, Yesteryear, Fast Lane, and Boots and Strats among others. Playing music of all genres and decades, and mashing up influences from their decades of professional performing experience, Pocket Inc. creates the groove that always fits!
