After a vote by their Board of Directors, the Broadcast Club of Sun City West and 103.1 KSCW radio station decided to make a contribution to support the COVID-19 heroes at Banner Hospital. This is only possible through the generous underwriters in the area who support the club and radio station.
With a partnership from Babbo’s Italian Restaurants and a $2,000 contribution from the club, 225 prepackaged sandwich meals were delivered to Banner Boswell and Banner Del Webb Hospitals on Wednesday, July 15.
“The doctors, nurses and support staff at these hospitals sacrifice so much to save lives during these trying times. This is a much needed way that we can say thanks,” stated Joel Piaskowski, Director of Underwriting for KSCW.
“Our club’s Board of Directors, members and area businesses who are an integral part of the Sun City West community, created the perfect synergy to show Banner Hospital what they mean to the community,” stated Mark Johnson, President of the Broadcast Club.
“We continue to be so impressed and grateful for the team of caregivers at Banner Boswell and Banner Del Webb, in providing safe and reliable care to the communities we serve. They are truly our healthcare heroes in supporting patients and each other. A huge thank you to the KSCW radio station for their support in the donation of lunches to our Boswell and Del Webb team members,” stated Sharon L. Lind, Chief Executive Officer, Banner Hospitals.
