Summer Puzzle Take Down & Pizza Party

The puzzle will be taken down the morning of Friday, August 16. Those who want to help with putting the puzzle away come Friday morning at 9 a.m. When it is all put away those that participated in putting the puzzle away are invited to pizza in the Friends of the Library board room.

On Tuesday, July 2, patrons at the R.H. Johnson Library put the final pieces together for this year’s puzzle. Work on the puzzle began May 31 and it was finished on July 2nd (23 open days). It took 75 people 1,123 hours to complete the 40,320 puzzle.

Last year’s puzzle of 54,000 pieces was started June 2 and completed by July 12 in just 27 days of the library being open. It took 80 people, 1,466 hours to complete the puzzle.

All of the Summer Community Puzzles are donated by Vivian L. Hennessey in honor of her husband, Jim.
