Following an overwhelming response from residents and visitors during its soft opening, Pete’s Café is announcing adjusted hours of operation to allow for a smoother ramp up into the busy season.

The restaurant, which opened in the R.H. Johnson Sports Pavilion to a busy customer base, will reduce its operating hours for May as it adjusts to the unique demands of its new location.
The restaurant is closed today, Tuesday, May 7. Starting Wednesday, regular hours in May will be 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Additionally, the café will close on Mondays to allow for maintenance and other non-customer-facing tasks to be completed.

The menu will be simplified during this period as café staff adjusts to the new setting, large customer base and varied needs of the restaurant, which includes a service window.

Pete’s is filling the space formerly occupied by Memo’s Café inside the Sports Pavilion on the R.H. Johnson Campus, 19803 R.H. Johnson Blvd. The restaurant is open to the public.

The café specializes in a selection of Puerto Rican inspired dishes ranging from empanadas to sandwiches.
