Battle the summer heat with some cool tunes at this year’s Sizzling Summer Concert Series.
Concerts for this series will be held on Tuesdays throughout the summer inside the Palm Ridge recreation center starting at 5 p.m. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 per person, or $24 for the three-concert series and go on sale at 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, for the three-concert package or Tuesday, May 7, for individual shows. Tickets may be purchased online or at the R.H. Johnson Box Office.

Soulitify is a band who provides concert -like experiences in all genres! They will play anything from classic rock, Latin, R&B, and, of course, a little bit of country.

The Southwest Surfers are starting their 14th year of performing around the valley and spanning 13 states. They are more than a “dance band” who are also a “show band” with a great reputation for bringing memories and a fabulous evening to every venue. Southwest Surfers cover songs from such greats as the Beach Boys (their signature trademark); Frankie Valli with Jim Pfeifer, the band’s lead guitar singing the high notes; classic rock hits, as well as oldies and country from the ‘80s and ‘90s.

Just a few notes is all it takes for audiences to be captivated by Jackie’s soulful and sultry voice. As a vintage jazz singer she delivers a glamorous performance full of old Hollywood sparkle and glam. Her musical influences include Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Patsy Cline, Michael Buble, Billie Holiday, and Selena Quintanilla to name a few. Jackie breathes new life into every iconic American Songbook jazz standard, swing, latin and pop song she performs. Backed up by an esteemed jazz-swing ensemble. The Nuance Trio embodies freshly diverse and buoyant sounds to represent all that jazz was and still is, performed by a well-honed trio of veteran Phoenix musicians. Instrumentation includes trumpet (violin double), guitar and bass. Voted “Best Jazz Performance” by the Arizona Republic.
