Based on the true-life experiences of Dave Fishwick (Rory Kinnear); ‘Bank of Dave’ tells the story of how a working class Burnley man and self-made millionaire fought to set up a community bank. To do it he has to take on the elitist financial institutions of London and fight to receive the first, new banking license to be issued in over 100 years.  When Hugh (Joel Fry) is assigned to evaluate Dave’s business plan, he expects it to be a joke. Hugh sees the good that Dave does in the community of Burnley and starts to believe the Dave’s bank could benefit the community.  With the help of Dave’s niece Alexandra (Pheobe Dynevor), the three decide to fight the banking industry, which wants to shut down Dave’s Bank.  (C) (2022) (1hr 47m) (PG-13).
