Cultivating Positivity in Caregiving

This month’s Friends of the R. H. Johnson Library lecture will be a partnership with Banner Alzheimer’s Institute & Sun Health Research Institute titled Cultivating Positivity in Caregiving presented by Janice Greeno.

Research reveals that happiness not only lifts spirits, but it can also improve overall quality of life and well-being. Learn evidence-based tips to improve coping skills and emotional well-being throughout the journey.

Janice Greeno is the Senior Outreach Program Manager at Banner Sun Health Research Institute and Banner Alzheimer’s Institute, where she is honored to promote outstanding clinical care and revolutionary research. She has been with Banner Health over 17 years. Since 2020, she has served as the Dementia Friendly Arizona State Lead. Since 2020 and supported Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Glendale, Pima County, Goodyear, and Sun Lakes in joining Tempe and Surprise, making a total of nine Dementia Friendly communities in Arizona. Janice leads the City of Surprise Dementia Friendly Action Team and Memory Café as well as facilitating Dementia Friends Information Sessions and Dementia Friends Champion trainings, building an understanding of dementia, reducing stigma, promoting empathy and sharing resources. She is also a co-host of the podcast, Dementia Untangled, helping caregivers navigate the dementia journey.
