Since kicking off in January 2026, the Sun City West Master Plan process has been moving along thanks to the input, ideas and feedback from you, the members of the community!
As we approach the end of March, nearly two months into our Master Planning process, the Recreation Centers of Sun City West and our vendor, BerryDunn, have the following updates listed down below to share with the community.

Online engagement tools close April 3
The engagement tools available on the Sun City West Master Plan website close at 5 p.m. Friday, April 3. The input that members have provided through these tools will still be viewable online throughout the duration of the Master Planning process.
Member Virtual Engagement Sessions
Provide input and ideas to the Master Plan team from the comfort of your home!
Two virtual engagement sessions are scheduled for Monday, March 30 for members to join and participate in. See the session times below and join by visiting suncitywest.com/masterplan or clicking the buttons below.
- Session 1: 11 a.m. to noon
- Session 2: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Under 55 Virtual Engagement Session
Have family under 55 who are considering a move to an active adult community in the future?
We want to hear from them!
A special virtual engagement session is being held from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 2 to hear from the next generation of active adults coming to Sun City West.

Community Presentations
Preliminary Findings
BerryDunn will be visiting Sun City West on April 27 and 28 to give a community presentation on preliminary findings for the Sun City West Master Plan. Both presentations take place inside the R.H. Johnson Lecture Hall with the April 27 event starting at 9:30 a.m. The April 28 event is an evening presentation beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The April 27 presentation will be livestreamed on the SCW YouTube channel.
Does the master plan include a solution to the failed spending and product application of the pool decks? How will next project be paid for? Will Our yearly dues in the future increase to cover the next decking cost?
Hi Matt. The Governing Board has recently been discussing this very issue as it may be prioritized sooner than the Master Plan. We recommend attending or watching this Thursday’s Governing Board Regular Meeting as it is on the agenda for the meeting.
I do attend and watch GB meetings, I heard the pool decks are going to be prioritized, but how and where the money is going to be allocated wasn’t clear.

For anyone that is interested in the current search for a solution to the current decking you can watch the GB meeting YouTube video from March 13. It contains pricing and information on replacement materials.
Please upgrade the facilities. Use the money to capture grey water and use that water to water the golf courses.
