With the COVID experience having left all of us feeling more isolated than usual, the Recreation Centers of Sun City West wants to make sure our neighbors in Sun City West’s care facilities aren’t forgotten during the holidays.
We have organized a holiday card drive, which will run from Tuesday, Nov. 23, to noon Tuesday, Dec. 7. To donate a card, simply write a kind, cheerful message on the inside of a holiday card. Include a festive greeting on the envelope. You don’t need to seal it.
Beginning Nov. 23, we will have collection sites available at all four recreation centers and the library. Please be sure to have your cards dropped off before noon Dec. 7.
After all the cards are collected, Rec Centers staff will separate them to ensure we have enough for each facility, and put them in a 14-day quarantine to ensure they are safe for our friends. The facilities whose residents will be the recipients of your kindness are: Brookdale, Solstice, Grandview Care Center, Avista, Sun City West Assisted Living, and Heritage Legacy.
