The R.H. Johnson Library invites Sun City West members to help put together this year’s summer community puzzle, which is returning for its 12th year.

Consisting of 40,320 pieces, “Mickey Through the Years” is this summer’s community puzzle. This puzzle is made up of images from the past 90 years of the iconic Disney character, Mickey Mouse.

Thank you to Vivian Hennessey, who donates the summer community puzzle every year in honor of her husband, Jim.

The clock for this year’s puzzle begins ticking at 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 31, and will continue every day during the library’s normal operating hours until the project is completed.

All Sun City West members are invited to come in, get out of the heat and join in on the fun. You may work on the puzzle for as much or as little time as you wish. There will be a sign-up sheet to count how many participated and how many hours it took to complete the puzzle.

The library will also have a fun game available for the community where residents can attempt to guess what day this year’s puzzle will be completed. All guesses must be turned into the library by Friday, June 7.

The library is located at 13801 Meeker Blvd., on the corner of R.H. Johnson and Meeker boulevards. Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
