This summer will mark the 11th year of the R.H. Johnson Library’s summer community puzzle, which invites all interested Sun City West members to help assemble a giant puzzle together.

Consisting of 54,000 pieces, “Travel Around Art!” is this summer’s community puzzle. This puzzle will take you on a journey through the world of art, featuring more than 50 paintings by artists ranging from Van Gogh to Klimt, Arcimboldo to Brueghel or Monet to Da Vinci.

Thank you to Vivian Hennessey, who donates the summer community puzzle every year in honor of her husband, Jim.

The clock will begin ticking at 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 2, and will continue every day during the library’s normal operating hours until the project is completed.

All Sun City West members are invited to come in, get out of the heat and join in on the fun. You may work on the puzzle for as much or as little time as you wish. There will be a sign-up sheet to count how many participated and how many hours it took to complete the puzzle.

The library will also have a fun game available for the community where residents can attempt to guess what day this year’s puzzle will be completed. All guesses must be turned into the library by Friday, June 9.

The library is located at 13801 Meeker Blvd., on the corner of R.H. Johnson and Meeker boulevards. Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
