The Recreation Centers of Sun City West reminds residents that stop signs placed on Association property are there for residents’ and staff members’ safety and must be heeded.
Of particular concern are the stop signs along the driveway in the R.H. Johnson Recreation Center parking lot – from the Meeker Boulevard entrance all the way to Fry’s. The stop signs and the speed bumps are there for safety. The issue heightens this time of year as pedestrian traffic gets heavier and more residents make their way from the parking lot into the buildings.
The Rec Centers is seeing an increase in golf carts driving on the sidewalk; various vehicles ignoring or driving over the stop signs; and cut-through traffic speeding on their way to Fry’s. Please remember, this is a parking lot, not a street.
