Beginning Monday, Aug. 29, the Palm Ridge Recreation Center parking lot will be closed in four phases for the sealing and striping of the asphalt.
The four-phase approach will minimize the impact on residents by providing open parking areas for members throughout the project.
The closure phases for the parking lot are as follows:
- Phase one: 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, until noon, Tuesday, Aug. 30
- Phase two: 6 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, until noon, Thursday, Sept. 1
- Phase three: 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, until noon, Saturday, Sept. 3
- Phase four: 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6 until noon, Wednesday, Sept. 7

Great planning since Beardsley is also closed
I thought the Palm Ridge parking lot was completely redone just last year? Why is there more asphalt work?
Hi Jim. The parking lot will be receiving its first seal coat, which is recommended about 12 months after the initial install of the asphalt. This is done to help maximize the expected 30 year useful life of the asphalt.
Hello,
Who is the contractor doing the work; have a small drive behind our condos that needs resurfacing,
Thanks
Hi Janet. Rose Paving will be doing the work for this project.
So what if Beardsley closed? Kuentz and Johnson are closer to Palm Ridge .
This is true, why always complaining
Palm Ridge is still open while this work goes on. Only those sections of the parking lot will be closed.
How soon after the seal coat is applied, can we drive on it
Hi Barbara. Residents are able to drive on each section of the parking lot once it has been reopened.
