Friends of the Library Lecture
Join us for a presentation titled Staying Human in the Artificial Intelligence Revolution by Matthew Goodwin. By most accounts, the revolution in Artificial Intelligence (AI) has only just begun. What is the current state of AI and what does it mean for humanity? This presentation will provide a general introduction to what AI currently can and cannot do. We will also explore some of the philosophical questions that AI raises. What are the ethical concerns about using AI? What about privacy concerns? What does AI mean for our jobs? Will we be threatened by a robot apocalypse? And what, ultimately, does it mean to be human in the age of AI?
Date: Wednesday, May 28
Time: 2:00 pm
Location: RHJ Lecture Hall
This is a free event; tickets not required.
