I would like to express my concern in the decision to relax the efforts to contain Covid-19
in Sun City West. Banner Health tells us they are running out of ICU beds so I assume other providers are experiencing the same situation. I believe there is a misunderstanding among residents the purpose of wearing a mask. I wear a mask to protect others the mask does very little to protect me. There are many who have the virus and do not know it as they are asymptomatic. So when I hear people say ” I am an adult and can make my own decision concerning my health” I do not believe they understand the reason for wearing a mask and really do not want to spread the virus. Perhaps we could use a little education.
