RCSCW issues the CC&R’s, PORA is supposed to enforce them when a violation is reported. But there are no violations UNLESS a resident complains?
This makes absolutely no sense to me. It’s like having traffic laws with no one to enforce them. Oh wait, we have that too in SCW.
Hello Dale, PORA does count on residents to inform them of CC&R issues. They have a small CC&Rs staff to react to complaints. We can’t speak to the traffic issue as that is ‘policed’ by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
I have read a lot of complaints in the rec center news since we moved here in March. I just don’t get it, this is a beautiful community with excellent resources. I guess some just don’t want to be happy. Think about it…you woke up, the sun is shining, it’s a beautiful day with lots to do. You could be living in the Middle East
Why has the rec center changed all the keys to the club facilities and only allowed the presidents of each club, one key.
Don’t tell me it is about liability.
Who generated this policy?
Hi Nancy. The previous policy had too many keys floating around, and if one was lost, it required a re-keying that cost the club quite a bit of money. The new system is safer and will work better for the club and the Association in the long run. For specifics, please call Facility Supervisor John D’Ottavio at 623-544-6580.
Why is the bowling alley closed?
Hi Dave, Johnson Lanes closes each year for two weeks in August to undertake any remodeling projects and do heavy cleaning and large maintenance projects. They will be reopening this Monday, Aug. 14.
