It would be helpful if you stated the actual time that the driving ranges and putting greens open.( 1.5 hours from when?)
It’s 90 minutes from first tee time. In January that is 8:00am. This information is published on SCW website.
New weather hot line is a step backwards by golf ops. Lacks any info on tee times being caught up. Old recordings allowed for estimates on actual start and more frequent updates.
could you please update more often
The next update at 1100. it is now 1150 and no update
need to update more often, maybe every 30 minutes
I would like to make a suggestion in regards to the frost Delays at the Sun City West Golf Courses. At most courses I have been a member at when there is a frost delay they just cancel the morning rounds and start the tee times once the frost delay is over. Example a standard tee time at 0700 with a frost delay of 2 hours all the tee times would be cancelled from 0700 untill 0900. The way you are doing it now you push the 0700 tee back to 0900 and that screws up the whole day. Which in turn makes the 0700 tee time mad for having to wait and all afternoon tee times mad because of the delays. This way only those that schedule early in the AM know they are rolling the dice and if they get cancelled they have opportunities to play in open spots after the frost delays.
Agree with Jerry 100%
I would suggest that after the golf ops call in line closes on Sunday at noon that it switches to the golf courses. I had an afternoon tee time on Sunday that I wanted to cancel because of the frost delay but was unable to do it online and every time I called the golf course it rang the golf ops call in line. I had no way to notify the golf course to cancel my tee time.
This is for yesterday!!!!!
if you want us to use this for delays, it needs to be CURRENT!!!!!
A new member has asked me how he can receive email notifications regarding frost delays. Please advise and I will pass it on to him.
your system needs work! the old one was more up to date than this one. silly
It’s after 7amand your website is still indicating the 20th information. It is the 21st. What time is this supposed to be updated
I get that some golfers will get the boot when there is a frost delay. I think it should be the tee times that are directly effected by the frost delay which is the early morning groups.
My husband and I had a 1 pm tee time that got pushed to 2:30PM. We were told it was a 1 hour delay but it actually was 1 1/2 hour delay. We didn’t get to finish because the course was full. We play fast but many don’t.
We could have cancelled once we got called to the tee but we really wanted to play. We didn’t get to play the last 4 holes because of slow play and darkness.
I also think the morning tee times need to be cancelled when there is a frost delay.
March 7th cart restrictions….nothing was posted on this site. The old way of selecting a # for each course and having the starter update it worked much better. This us not user friendly and the starters will have to answer many, msny calls!
Do away with frost delays in their entirety by running sprinklers for about 2-3 minutes just before sunrise. The water on the grass plant and on the ground will keep the grass and earth warm enough to keep the frost from settling on the grass plant.
