RANGE BALLS ARE THE PROPERTY OF THE RCSCW GOLF COURSES
In order to serve our 7,000+ golfing residents in the manner in which they deserve, we are asking all golfers who are using the practice facilities to keep all range balls and range ball baskets on property. This will help insure that our golfers have the proper equipment available at all times. If you do not hit all the range balls, simply leave them on the driving range with the basket.
Thank you for your cooperation and we wish well on your practice!!!
RCSCW Golf Operations Management
The golfers in Sun City West range from55 t0 85 years old. They hit range balls to loosen up and hopefully prevent injury. When the price of balls went from $1 to $2, and the number of balls increased to 30 – 32, most golfers have half a basket left when they are done. For those who play 3 – 4 times a week, the additional cost adds up quickly. Go back to the $1 smaller baskets and I think the problem will correct itself. Anyone wishing to work on their game and hit more balls could simply purchase the larger basket.
You could do a check of everyone’s cart and house , especially snowbirds.
One dollar bucket about 15 balls.
Yes—-offer a $1.00 basket of 15 or so. I just want a little warm up–30+ balls much more then I want to hit
I also agree with the 15 balls for $1. If someone wants 30, then $2. That WOULD help greatly in people taking some balls with them.
This issue and controversy started when someone at golf ops decided that we should warm up with 30 balls. The old system of 15 balls for $1 worked seamlessly for ages. Let’s go back to the system that worked so well for so many years.
Yes to 15 balls for a dollar. 30 is to many.
I agree that 30 balls are more than needed to warm up. We are not pros who play golf for a living.
Driving range balls are the most profitable item in all of golf. We use them we don’t steal them. All are returned.
So why the hassle. Golf ops appears greedy
