Friends of Library Speaker Series
Join us on Wednesday, October 28th, 2026, in the Lecture Hall of the R. H. Johnson Recreation Center at 2pm for a presentation by The Sun Cities Area Historical Society titled Sun City: The Community That Changed a Nation.
This talk is primarily a history of the first few decades of Sun City, but also focuses on how the creation and development of Sun City totally changed the way people viewed retirement and what it meant to be a “senior” in this nation.
It is a free event, but registration is required. Your registration online reserves a seat until the start of the event. Please note entry after the start time will be subject to seat availability.
