With the holidays here, it’s a great time to ask our residents to help us share the gift of reading with our residents who may not be able to get to the library.
The R.H. Johnson Library is proud to offer a Homebound Reading Program in which members can have library materials delivered right to their doors – at no cost. Materials are delivered and returned through the US Postal Service, making it incredibly convenient for those who need it most.
If you or someone you know could benefit from this program, we’d love to hear from you!
The Homebound Program provides library services to current Sun City West members with valid recreation cards, with service available on a short- or long-term basis. This program benefits residents who are restricted to their homes because of medical conditions, physical disabilities, short-term illnesses, extended illnesses, excessive transportation problems or other conditions that prevent them from visiting the library.
The Homebound Program provides library items to qualifying patrons including regular print and large-print books, as well as books on CD. There is NO charge for participating in the program.
If you have any questions regarding this free program or know someone who would enjoy this type of service and is a valid resident card holder of Sun City West, please call us at 623-544-6167 or email us at infocenter@suncitywest.com.
