Cold, winter nights might keep folks from heading out, but hot entertainment is reason enough to leave the house. Join the Recreation Centers of Sun City West for another fun season of acts with the Cruise Ship Series beginning in 2020.
All shows are at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. at Palm Ridge Recreation Center. With shows spanning January through March, the 2020 series offers a variety of music, comedy and other talent.
Individual tickets for the 2020 Cruise Ship go on sale for $15 at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the R.H. Johnson Box Office or online.
The Ping Brothers Band

The Ping Brothers, Frank and Doug, grew up in the hills of Kentucky on a farm near Somerset. They were influenced by bluegrass, jazz, blues, western swing, country and original music. Frank plays finger-style and rhythm guitar, bass, banjo, and mandolin. Doug plays lead and rhythm guitar, bass, and harmonica. The Ping Brothers Band has opened for such entertainers as Asleep at the Wheel, Delbert McClinton, Waylon Jennings and Allen Jackson. Prescott, now home to the Ping Brothers, has given them the opportunity to add even more talent to the band including, at times, a harmonica, bass/steel guitar, and piano.

Todd Oliver and Friends is a hit with audiences across the country. A nationally known ventriloquist and comedian, Todd Oliver and his amazing talking dog are joined onstage by a rotating cast of animal performers and ventriloquist characters (they don’t like being called “dummies”). With Todd’s friendly personality and clean, contemporary humor, it’s a comedy act that all ages can enjoy. Todd Oliver’s national television appearances include “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “The Today Show,” and “America’s Got Talent,” where he was a top four finalist. He also was selected one of the world’s top five ventriloquists.
