The Rec Centers is excited to present a new style of entertainment for the community – The Bash – a fun evening full of music, games and relaxation after a long day! Chill out, chat, play or dance. At The Bash, you design your own fun for the evening.
The event kicks off at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, in the Palm Ridge Rec Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
At The Bash, attendees will be able to have fun and enjoy the night their way! Sit back and listen (or dance) to the country music duo of Dawson. If you’re looking for a more social night, a handful of fun games will be available to play like corn hole, large scale Jenga, stand-up Connect 4, and much more. Feel free to bring your own card games or table games too!
The Bash will feature table seating and you may bring your own snacks and drinks. Water, soda, and popcorn will be available for purchase.
Dawson is a father-son country duo who reside in Phoenix. Dawson primarily plays classic and new country; covering artists such as Morgan Wallen, Merle Haggard, George Strait, and Cody Johnson. Growing up in Memphis, Gary has always had a love for classic country music. He started singing at an early age and has been playing guitar since he was 28. In 2003, Gary auditioned for The Nashville Star regionals in Phoenix and finished in the top 5. He has played and filled in with bands in Phoenix since the early 90’s. Colton, 17, has been playing guitar since he was 10. His greatest inspiration was Stevie Ray Vaughan. Originally a fan of the blues masters, he has turned his attention towards country music. Since March of 2022, he and his dad have created something very special, a family-based father-son country duo called Dawson.
