The Recreation Centers of Sun City West are excited to present a new event this November, Munchie Monday! From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, several food trucks will be parked in the R.H. Johnson Library parking lot, offering a variety of food choices for lunch. The band “Senior Moments,” will also be providing live music from noon to 12:30 p.m.
Partial concessions of water will also be available for purchase.
Admission to this event is free thanks to our sponsor!

Naming Contest
Help us rename our newest event! On the day of the event, we’ll be having a naming contest to change Munchie Monday to something created by you, the community! Come up with your most creative name for our Monday food truck events and help us make it part of Sun City West. One winner will be chosen and will win a prize. Entry forms will be available at the entrances on the day of the event.

Puerto Rican Pete’s
Puerto Rican Pete’s Food Truck has been serving his delicious handmade empanadas, slow roasted pork and the famous rican sandwich from Surprise to Santan Valley since 2021. He recently opened his new restaurant, Pete’s Cafe, in Sun City West where customers enjoy his savory Puerto Rican favorites for breakfast through dinner daily!
AZ BBQ
The Rec Centers’ Events Department partnered with AZ BBQ for the Taste of Paradise BBQ Challenge back in 2020. We are excited to bring AZ BBQ back with their delicious BBQ menu.
Sugar Mama Ice Cream Truck AZ
Sugar Mama Ice Cream have fully renovated a vintage 1973 Chevrolet P30 into a glamorous, retro style ice cream truck! This 27-foot beauty on wheels carries more ice cream, sweet treats, and fun than anything you have ever seen!
Rockin Rollz Lobster and Sushi
Rockin Rollz Lobster and Sushi culinary offerings include a range of mouthwatering lobster dishes, such as their signature lobster rolls, savory lobster tacos, zesty Maki tacos, creamy lobster mac-n-cheese, ooey-gooey lobster grilled cheese, rich lobster bisque, and soul-warming clam chowder. For a twist, try their deconstructed sushi bowls, which are as visually stunning as they are delicious.
