Linda Chamley Johnson lived a nomadic life growing up. Her father’s job took her all over the United States, generally spending no more than six to eight months in one place. This became the impetus for her imagination. Her characters, settings, and plotlines developed organically from the tapestry of experiences in each new environment. she never considered writing a novel until she was 70 and then only to rid herself of some demons that had plagued her since childhood. Her first mystery grew from this need. Her second mystery was more of an obsession to hone her developing writing skillset.

My husband and I have lived in SCW for about two years now. I enjoy writing very much and have written many short stories for my senior writing group back in California and for the writing group at the library I am currently working on my memoirs for my children and grandchildren. I have one self-published book.
My husband and I retired to Arizona from Oregon in 2010. I wanted to move to a place where the sun shined every day. We live in Sun City West with our toy teddy bear poodle Lucy. I enjoy the amenities our community has to offer. I keep busy with the karaoke club, Theater West, and with my group Golden Girls & Silver Guys where I sing and dance. We perform around the west valley putting on a one-hour variety show free of charge at retirement communities. I enjoy reading, painting, and most of all writing. I have written three books and am now writing my fourth. I am a mother of three and a granny of two.
