Help make holidays brighter for our neighbors in Sun City West’s care centers!
With last year’s drive being so successful, the Recreation Centers of Sun City West is again planning to collect cards to ensure our neighbors in local care facilities aren’t forgotten during the holidays.
The Holiday Card Drive will run from 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, to noon on Friday, Dec. 6. To donate a card, simply write a kind, cheerful message on the inside of a holiday card. Include a festive greeting on the envelope. Do not seal it.
Beginning Nov. 18, we will have collection sites available at all four recreation centers and the R.H. Johnson Library (please note the Library is closed on Mondays). The specific drop-off sites are:
Please be sure to have your cards dropped off before noon Dec. 6. Although blank cards may be dropped off, we prefer you fill them out with a handwritten message.
After all the cards are collected, Rec Centers staff will separate them to ensure we have enough for each facility. Feedback from the locations last year was very positive and they are looking forward to this year’s cards.
Thank you in advance for those of you able to make Christmas, Hanukkah and the holiday seasons cheerful and bright for our neighbors in Sun City West!
Want to fill out a few holiday cards with other residents? The Rec Centers are hosting a Christmas card party at the R.H. Johnson Library on Dec. 5 where you can get together with other residents and fill out holiday cards for the card drive. Click here to learn more.
