May 4 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
The library is happy to announce the first Chat with Local Author event in over a year. Stop by between 10 am and 12 pm on May 4. We will have three of our new local authors in the library.
Nancy Kasten is a resident of Sun City West and has recently published her first book, It Happened in Cassidy: Stories of a Small Town The book is a series of short stories that tell the tales of ordinary people who draw on their inner strength and the support of their community to get through not so ordinary problems of life. These are stories from the heart and they all happened in Cassidy.
Linda Chamley Johnson
Linda Chamley Johnson, local author, has lived in Sun City West for sixteen years. Her first book is a mystery called Chameleons of Codington. The town of Codington portrayed perfection itself, well laid out and planned to create a sense of gentry for all members of the community, the rich and not-so-well-off. Set amongst rolling hills, quaint shopping areas and well-planned homes, the town-planners thought of everything, everything except the behavior of the residents.
Pam Sievers, a Sun City West resident, recently published Carrie’s Quest, a modern day search for love, set in Milwaukee. After reaching success in her profession and having spent too many years casually dating, Carrie, 38, realizes she is finally ready to invest in a long-term relationship. But can she change the judgmental tendencies she inherited from her late mother who always said, if it’s not perfect, it’s not worth it? Her search is humorous, contemporary, and enlightening.
