Beginners Only Chess Tournament
This is a relaxed, informal, unofficial, laid-back, no intimidation, no registration, no fees, no ratings, no trophies, & no prizes beginners only chess tournament.
Date: August 14
Time: 9:30am to 3:30pm (You do not have to stay the entire time, come and go as you please)
Location: Friends of the Library Board Room in the Library
At 3:25 pm any incomplete games will be adjudicated by other players
At 3:30 pm average scores will be posted
Tournament Rules
- Please no talking, no kibitzing
- You must play at least 3 games with 3 different people
- If castling, move your king first
- Use the “touch-move rule”
