Author Book Talk and Signing

Retired Arizona Balladeer Dolan Ellis will be giving a book talk at the Lecture Hall of the R. H. Johnson Recreation Center on Thursday July 16th at 1pm. Come learn about his memoir on being Arizona’s first Balladeer.
His Book “Adventures of a Balladeer” includes 42 true, yet sometimes nearly unbelievable, stories written by Dolan Ellis, “Arizona’s Official Balladeer”.
Dolan Ellis was the Arizona Balladeer for 56 years. It was Governor Sam Goddard who created the title and made the appointment official in 1966. Dolan Ellis uses his talents to capture Arizona, its culture, and its history, in song and photography. Arizona was the first state in the United States of America to have an “Official State Balladeer”. You can listen to some of his songs and learn more about him at dolanellis.com.
