Author Book Talk and Signing – Dolan Ellis

Come hear stories and music from Dolan Ellis. Dolan Ellis was the first and only Official State Balladeer a governor appointed position in 1966. Dolan Ellis will be giving a book talk for his memoir on July 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in Lecture Hall of the RH Johnson Rec Center (19803 N. R.H. Johnson Blvd. ).
His Book “Adventures of a Balladeer” includes 42 true, yet sometimes nearly unbelievable, stories written by Dolan Ellis, “Arizona’s Official Balladeer”.
Dolan Ellis was the Arizona Balladeer for 56 years. It was Governor Sam Goddard who created the title and made the appointment official in 1966. Dolan Ellis uses his talents to capture Arizona, its culture, and its history, in song and photography.
