Established in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy, Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign that helps train citizens on how to properly provide aid and help stop blood loss from somebody who is severely injured. Medical tools such as tourniquets are used and demonstrated in each class. The program has continued to grow over the years as more than 1 million people have been trained to save a life through Stop the Bleed.

Free Class

A free Stop the Bleed class will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, in the R.H. Johnson Lecture Hall. This is your chance to take a class and learn how to properly help stop bleeding during a serious situation. Seating is limited so reserve your spot today by emailing
