PORA Bingo
PORA BINGO is BACK in Sun City West! PORA has worked hard to make it happen—and now it’s time to dab, play, and WIN!
Join us at R.H. Johnson Social Hall on Sunday, Oct. 18, Nov. 8, 22 and Dec. 20! Doors open at 2:30 PM, and Bingo starts at 4:00 PM.Bring your friends, your lucky charm, and get ready for an afternoon of fun, excitement, and chances to WIN! PORA Bingo — play, win, have fun, and support your community! Sunday games continue through December.

Utilities Seminar
PORA is hosting a seminar on utility rates from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Oct. 26, in Palm Ridge Rec Center. The community is invited.
PORA has invited RUCO and PIRG to discuss utility rate increases and what they can mean for ratepayers.
Halloween Collection Drive
It is that time of year for collecting candies for the children for Halloween. The Sun City West Posse is proud to participate in Trunk or Treat in support of Maricopa County Sheriff’ Office Halloween Collection Drive. This year there is a new twist. The Sheriff’s Office is also collecting books for the children. The Posse has a collection box in the lobby. We hope you will help the Posse in support of this effort.

American Cancer Society Slates Annual Relay, Other Events
West Valley residents have many opportunities to participate in upcoming events that promote the fight against cancer this next year. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of the Sun Cities.
“Bowling Over Cancer” will be a 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Lakeview Lanes in Sun City, 10502 W. Thunderbird Blvd. All information, as well as registration forms, are available on our website and at Lakeview Lanes.
A benefit concert will take place in the Foundation Webb/Powell rooms from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, featuring music from The Moments. This is a BYOB event. Tickets are $10 or reserve a table of eight for $150 and may be purchased at the Sun City West Foundation office, 14465 W. R. H. Johnson Blvd. All proceeds go to the Sun Cities American Cancer Relay Fundraiser.
The 15th annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life of the Sun Cities will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, at Beardsley Park, 12755 W Beardsley Road. For information, to sign up, dedicate a luminaria, start or join a team, or donate visit relayforlife.org/suncitiesaz or contact Marilynn Shaw at (541-980-4444) moc.liamg@nnyliram.wahs for additional information. We welcome sponsors to join the Recreation Centers of Sun City West, the Sun City West Foundation, Peoria Nissan, and others. We would love to have SCW clubs form teams and join us, along with members from the Auto/Restoration Club, Clay Club, Woodworking Club and Leather Carvers.
We seek survivors, volunteers, teams, and leaders.
The kick-off meeting for the Relay for Live will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, in the Powell Room at the Sun City West Foundation. Contact event leader Marilynn Shaw for more detailed information.

October 2nd will be our first Board Buzz from 1-3 PM in the SCW Foundation Quail Room.
On October 22nd, our first Academy, the HOA 101 Academy will be held in the RH Johnson Lecture Hall from 6 to 8 PM. Jonathan Ebertshauser, Partner, CHDB Law will be our speaker.
