Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday in the Library!

The library is hosting some fun events to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.

America the Beautiful Tree

Write about “America the Beautiful” on leaves and hang them on our patriotic tree in the library, from June 9 to July 3, during library’s open hours. Share what you find beautiful about America for others to read. Please, no vulgarity, profanity, or offensive material.

Scavenger Hunt: America 250

Join us for a Scavenger hunt around the library to learn some fun facts about the United States. Pick up a scavenger sheet from the Information Desk during the library open hours Tuesday – Saturday 9am to 4pm from June 30 to July 31. Once you complete the scavenger sheet bring it back to the Information Desk for your small America 250 prize.

Patriotic Music Bingo

Join us in the Library on July 2nd or July 3rd to celebrate the USA’s 250th birthday with Patriot Music Bingo. Name the songs to get a bingo and win a fun treat! Seating is limited; registration is required. Registration required, as space is limited. Register online by clicking the button below or call Data Resource Center at 623-544-6644.

Diamond Painting

Join us for making diamond painting keychains to celebrate America 250. Only sign up for one session of the diamond painting craft to allow more residents to participate.
The diamond painting keychains craft will be held on:

  • June 13 at 1pm
  • June 18 at 1pm
  • June 26 at 10am
  • July 2 at 10am
