The library is having two local author events in November. Our first event will be an author talk with Linda Buckbinder on her book Flying the Glass Airplane: Poetry from my Extraordinary Ordinary Life. The second author talk will have two local authors. J.C. Eaton will talk about her book Planted 4 Murder and CB Wilson will talk about her book The Fire Diamond.

Double Trouble in “Murder Mystery Land” with authors J.C. Eaton and CB Wilson!
Stop everything and get this date on your calendar for the first of its kind event in Sun City West! Cozy mystery authors J.C. Eaton (Ann I. Goldfarb) and CB Wilson (Cheryl Wilson) will be giving a fun-filled book presentation, sponsored by the SCW Library, on their new releases: Planted 4 Murder and Puzzled 4 Murder (J.C. Eaton), and The Fire Diamond (CB Wilson).

Planted 4 Murder
When the seniors of Sun City West take over a garden plot, they have no idea they’ll unearth a plot for murder . . .
At the urging of the guys in the pinochle club, the members of the Sun City West book club decide it’s time to grow their own vegetables and join the local agriculture club. But when tending to their plants turns up a skeletal hand, the gang begin to feel like they’re working in a graveyard instead of a garden. It’s clear that whoever the bones belong to was the victim of foul play, and soon the seniors are pleading with Sophie “Phee” Kimball to step in and help them weed out the killer.

It’s a blistering hot summer in Sun City West, and members of the retirement community are happy to escape into the air-conditioned bliss of the library to work on a mammoth forty-thousand-piece jigsaw puzzle. But things begin heating up inside, too, when members clash with the domineering head of the puzzle committee over which puzzle to solve—until someone settles the matter by killing her. Now it’s up to Sophie “Phee” Kimball to put all the pieces of the murder plot together and catch the culprit responsible.
