This may not be the appropriate venue but is it possible there may be a circuit exercise room, similar to the CURVES set up?
Hi Bonnie. Thank you for your recommendation of setting up a circuit exercise room. We’ve shared the idea with our facility staff so they’re aware of it.
Lizard Pub:
What age are kids allowed into play WII , watch sporting events or just be with grandparents and their parents to socialize?
Hi Dave. Children are allowed in as long as they are accompanied with a resident. Ages 5 and up can only play Wii when the league is playing and a TV is available. They cannot not sit at the bar.
I am not in agreement with the recent increase for guests using our recreation centers. Why is such a large increase needed? Why not go to $4.00/adult person if an increase is really necessary. What is the increased 1.50/adult person going towards? We already had our yearly rec center dues raised. Now this? I think most people would really appreciate a good sound answer to this question. Thank you.
Well Judy & Craig, I guess you got your answer. NO ANSWER!
Wait until they find a way for SCW owners to pick up the tab of $700,000.00 that the Village store brought in & it was more important for them to have new office space than all those funds.
RCN Correction: On page 9 of this month’s Rec Center News, the R.H. Johnson Library’s book sale is mistakenly listed for Aug. 13. The correct date is Saturday, Aug. 14. Our apologies for the mistake.
I would echo Judi Pilliod’s comment. Over a 42% increase seems extreme and unnecessary.
I love all our Rec Centers, but lately I am disappointed in Palm Ridge. I have noticed members wearing water/lake shoes in the Pools and Spas. I have to mention this, because their shoes are FILTHY from walking outside, etc. then they get into the Pools and it is disgusting. Can something be done about this? If people are so inconsiderate that they cannot wash their “shoes” off prior to getting in the Pools, then no shoes should be allowed in the pool. I cannot even go in that Pool now because I am so grossed out. I am unsure why patrons feel the need for these shoes, it’s not like they are in a lake or river with broken glass all around. Please, clean your shoes or don’t wear them in the pools!
Hi. I understand and have seen the same.. I am one that has to wear my shoes in the pool because of foot//bone issues… But….. I take my street shoes off when I get in the facility and put my water shoes on.
Would like to know about the old cars show and swap sale coming in 2022?
What date?
Thanks
