Sun City West Sunday Couples is a great group of residents that gather twice a month on Sunday Mornings.
These events typically have tee times that start around 8:30 and depending on the number of players, will go through 11:00 give or take. Occasionally, there will be a shotgun event for everyone to have a chance to be together at the same time for visiting and refreshments. These events have a fun golf format that allows participation of all levels of players. Usually, when the event is on a regulation course and depending on the format, the men will tee off from the gold tees and the women the green tees. On the executive courses, the men will play from the white and the women from the red.
The fee is a $5.00 sweeps that is paid to the starter when you pay your green fee. The winnings are then distributed to your “tournament winnings” account to use in the pro shops at your convenience. The results are sent out and posted usually by Tuesday following the event.
